BRIGG FIDDLE FEST 2002

For the past 3 years, Wootton Fiddle Club have organised and hosted Brigg Fiddle Fest. Held in The Angel Rooms, Brigg, artists and performers including Blazin Fiddles, Loyko, Jennifer and Hazel Wrigley and The Old Rope String Band to name a few, have been our guests and created excellent concerts and memorable times.

Now Brigg Fiddle Fest has reached its 4th year which we feel is quite an amazing achievement. Set in this beautiful market town of North Lincolnshire, it has gained a reputation for being one of the warmest and friendliest festivals around. It is the place to hear top class fiddle acts and learn from it's leading exponents.

This years line up should dazzle, amaze and inspire you!

FRIDAY 17th & SATURDAY 18th MAY 2002

FRIDAY NIGHT sees an exciting combination of English and European virtuosity from La Strada and Show of Hands.

La Strada who played at last years festival are a passionate fusion of Gypsy, east European and World Music.

Show of Hands probably need no introduction for most people. They are two of the most talented musicians on the circuit who were recently invited by Mick Jagger to work on his new solo album.

Robin Garside the great singer/song writer is the founder of the Sheffield Fiddle Society and his enthusiasm for the fiddle is very well known.

The Friday night concert as always will be opened by our very own intrepid group of fiddlers, The Wootton Fiddle Club.
